October 2001

In October 2001 ClubFootball teamed up with Liverpool FC to launch their 'Liverpool in China' iniative aimed at bringing Chinese fans closer to the club.

ClubFootball staged a number of activities and events co-ordinated around the visit of Official Liverpool FC Ambassador Ian Rush, one of which was this fantastic web competition held in association with Beijing Television and powered by Zhaopin.com.

There were some unique and prestigious Liverpool FC prizes to be won including:

  1. First prize: One Liverpool shirt signed by the 2001/02 Liverpool team, including England stars Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard and Emile Heskey AND Liverpool FC legend, Ian Rush!
  2. Second prizes: Ten match balls signed by Liverpool legend Ian Rush
  3. Third prizes: 100 Liverpool in China T-shirts

To participate, users simply answered the question "In what year was Liverpool Football Club established?", by selecting the answer "1892" from three possible choices.

The draw was held in November 2002 and the lucky winners have been notified. If you didn't win, thank you for your participation and we hope that you will try again next next time.
